Yesi is a 25 year-old New York rapper that hails from Nigeria. Born and bred in the historic city of Ibadan, Yesi’s education and travels exposed him to hip-hop culture in London, Southern U.S.A and eventually New York City. Drawing from his collage of experiences, Yesi crafted a unique, multilingual style that features insightful lyrics delivered over heart thumping hip-hop beats.

Yesi independently released his debut album “Coronation” May 25, 2010.  With singles from the album “G.R.A” and “Aura” garnering media attention, the rapper’s creativity, talent and hard work is certainly paying off.

Yesi sound is engaging and compelling. He seamlessly blends 3 languages; English, Yoruba and Pidgin, creating catchy yet thought-provoking tunes. With several appearances, interviews, and performances lined-up, it is only a matter of time before Yesi’s “Coronation” is complete.
